The paper presents a probabilistic uncertainty evaluation method described in the Guide to Expression of Uncertainty Measurement (GUM) [1] and its application field Turbomachinery probe measurement techniques. All sources uncertainties contributing result are expressed terms probability distributions. Consequently, overall standard can be calculated using Gaussian error propagation formula. yields most probable value measurand describes distribution or extended uncertainties. A pneumatic five-hole-probe technique has been chosen show principle method. complete signal chain including calibration, modeling turbine included analysis. measured flow angles total static pressures presented as function Mach number. In addition, contribution individual is shown. Based on this break down optimization options suggested.
